Emani Washington, Miss Phi Beta Sigma 2024-2025
On Friday, February 9, 2024, Miss Emani Patrice Washington was crowned the 2024-2025 Miss Phi Beta Sigma during Sigma Week 2024. Emani is a native of Chicago, Illinois, and is a Junior at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, majoring in Psychology. When she's not attending class, you can find her strutting down the runway with, the on-campus modeling troupe, Black Essence where she is a walking coach. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and writing poetry, working out, doing hair and makeup, cheering on her fellow Golden Lion classmates, and volunteering anywhere and in any way she can. For the pageant, Emani performed a spoken word entitled "Let's Talk About It" on the struggle of communication in the Black community, from a woman's perspective, and how she is determined to overcome; she chose an emerald green and cream evening gown.

Emani was overjoyed, yet humbled to have been crowned the 2024-2025 Miss Phi Beta Sigma, and to have achieved this milestone in front of her classmates and friends, as well as supportive Brothers of the Beta Theta Chapter.

Upon completing her education, Miss Washington aspires to become a child and family therapist and open a center purposed to serve her community. The Brothers of the Beta Theta Chapter are proud of Emani and are looking forward to this great honor, her representing us so well throughout her reign. Last but not least, we want to thank her and all of her sponsors, as well as our other participants who were all instrumental in the planning and execution of the Miss Phi Beta Sigma pageant.
Congratulations, Emani, on this great achievement.
