Greetings Brothers, Sorors of Zeta Phi Beta, and Friends,

 

We, the Brothers of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc., Beta Theta Chapter, would like to welcome you to our website. Our Chapter and its members appreciate both the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and the Pine Bluff, Arkansas community and strive to contribute to their quality and advancement. Beta Theta exemplifies the motto, "Culture for Service, Service for Humanity" and is known on UAPB’s campus as a fraternity that embodies what it means to be a community service-based organization. Driven by our organization’s principles of Brotherhood, Scholarship, and Service, we take pride in upholding the ideals of Phi Beta Sigma since 1947. 

 

For those familiar with our chapter, you know of the high standards we strive to achieve in meeting the needs of our community. We ask that you continue to support our service, social and charitable endeavors throughout the school year. Some of the initiatives that we will be undertaking are: Project S.E.E.D., promoting financial literacy and economic empowerment, Adopt-A-School, centered around working with teachers and principals to assist students in improving their knowledge, skills academically and build literacy; Miss Phi Beta Sigma Scholarship Pageant, showcasing women's beauty, creativity, and intelligence, and Sigma Wellness, our men’s health initiative designed to educate and inform our membership and the community about key health issues facing men of color, as well as our continued sponsorships of The March of Dimes March for Babies and American Cancer Society Relay For Life.

 

We are also keenly aware that our youth are the future and so we have developed a very strong and active mentorship program via our advising graduate chapter, Gamma Psi Sigma, Sigma Beta Club, which is geared towards the development of young men, ages 8 to 18. It allows us to provide positive leadership and activities to assist them in becoming future leaders.
